My experience of sitting on diets is that I would hardly want to volunteer for this self-torture tool. If not one "but": I have personally seen the results of a two-week sitting "Japanese" diet. Just like in a magazine: "before" and "after. "However, the principle of beauty and health matters perhaps works best.

Lyrically sentimental deviation

I have to say that I admire the courage of people who are able to feel the indirect weight loss recipe and immediately try it for themselves. I myself am wary of diets. Life brought me together twice.

For the first time, in severe form, when I caught some stomach infection in the mountains and at an altitude of 3, 000 meters for three weeks, I simply couldn’t eat: everything immediately asked me to come back. The second time I decided to limit my diet to 1000 calories a day. For almost a month, my diet was morning coffee with ice cream, which is good for lunch, and frozen vegetables for dinner. I learned that the diet should be balanced much later.

So the first question I asked was: is the Japanese diet balanced? "Roughly, but amino acids aren’t enough, " replied the biochemist buddy, "you’ll be uncomfortable - horror with a gun. His fears of my hypothetical increased anger did not materialize. For the first two days, the body was suppressed by the sudden disappearance of normal food from his life. And realizing it was a long time, but not forever, he became silent and indifferent.

Charm and frustration

As it happens during each experiment with myself, I have compiled a list of charms and disappointments. Or, the inconvenience and pleasure of dieting.

1 inconvenience

The diet is strict. Because, according to the authors, it is designed to change metabolism. Therefore, the slightest deviation from the course (even toast, even an apple) - and the expected effect is not guaranteed. This is what is expected: separation from 5 to 8 kilograms and stabilization of weight in the future.

2 inconveniences

It’s very hard to come to the business lunch and flirtatiously ask me, please, for two hard-boiled eggs and 200 grams of grated carrots. Generally, such requests remain unfulfilled. Therefore, you will need to carry all the settings in your handbag. And, most likely, prepare diet meals the day before.

Pleasant number 1

Adhering to a 13-day Japanese diet will cost you about 2 times less than a daily business lunch or lunch at work. And even more - buying food for the home.

Pleasant number 2

In general, it is better not to start a strict diet if at least half of the food it makes up is uncomfortable for you. Since I ate with great enthusiasm in a "normal life" and fish, and boiled beef, and carrots, and kefir, and cabbage, it was actually fun to see them on my table.

Many people ask questions about drinking coffee every morning - isn’t that harmful? If you have heart problems or high blood pressure, coffee can have a negative effect. And before you start a Japanese diet, it is worth consulting your doctor.

Full range of sensations

During the first two days of the diet, I was haunted by sight: as soon as I closed my eyes, a thinly baked pancake appeared before my inner gaze, spontaneously rolling into a tube. Then someone pleasantly immersed me in the strawberry jam and brought it to my face. There were no olfactory hallucinations. After two days, the pancake was behind.

A stony indifference and a calm approach to culinary delights began, which has continued to this day. That doesn’t mean I’ll strictly give up if I’m offered to try something delicious. But the nervous tremor of "there’s so much food out there" is no more.

I didn’t lose that much - only 4 pounds, but the weight doesn’t increase anymore. I don't know who to thank for that: the creators of the Japanese diet or myself - for exercising twice a week. The only detail: following a diet weakens noticeably, and in the end it becomes problematic to open an unopened bottle of mineral water. But then the strength recovers quickly.
